Q: What
does Raffa mean?
LR: Raffa is taken from the word "Rophe" (Jehovah-Rophe)
which means "The Lord Who heals you" (Exodus 15:16).
Although we spell the word differently, technically, it
is pronounced the same. It defines (RAFFA) as the ministry
we are. Our primary concern is to see to it that Christians
are whole and healthy, by imparting spiritual principles
in their lives through personal and intimate discipleship.
I believe that if a Christian has a right, healthy knowledge
of God's word, and is being discipled properly, then he
is a healthy Christian.
Q: Where
is Raffa Ministries located?
LR: Raffa Front-Line Ministries home office is located in
Lawrenceville, GA, just a few miles outside of the Atlanta
city limits.
Q: Is Raffa
a church?
LR: Raffa Front-Line Ministries is not a church in and of
itself. The primary goal of the ministry is not to grow
a church but to disciple Christians, enabling them to have
a strong, practical, vibrant life with Jesus Christ. Through
careful and wise discipleship, which includes Fathering
and Mentoring, the Christian is better able to serve in
his/her local church body.
Q: What
is the difference between Raffa Front-line Ministries and
Raffa Discipleship School?
LR: Raffa Front-line Ministries and Raffa Discipleship School
basically comprise each other. Raffa Front-line Ministries
extends itself to any area, as the Lord leads, to minister
to and bless area churches. Raffa Discipleship School is
an extension of Raffa that targets the needs of the local
church for discipleship. As we do this, we are enabling
those who attend the school to reproduce themselves. In
other words, when students finish the year long course of
study in the school, they should prove to be better able
to minister, share their faith, teach in classes, and share
in public ministry, if they feel led to do so. As the founder
of the ministry, I make the decision whether or not an individual
is able to minister publicly or not.
Q: What
denomination is Raffa?
LR: Raffa Front-line Ministries and Raffa Discipleship School
does not hold to any particular denomination, as discipleship
within itself is not denominational. We train men and women
in the Word through practical (hands on) experience. All
the students involved in Raffa Discipleship School are required
to attend a local church. We do not tell them where
to go to church. There are different denominational backgrounds
represented in Raffa.
Q: I've
heard that Raffa is a prophetic ministry, what does prophetic
mean?
LR: Prophetic means not only "speaking" something
that God is saying, but also doing what He says. Both accomplish
God's will. Raffa's focus is to teach students to hear and
recognize God's voice as they should, that way they become
better equipped to be a blessing to whatever ministry they
are called to.
Q: Is Raffa
only about the prophetic?
LR: Raffa's focus is not limited to the prophetic. We train
people to understand it more, but our overall focus is on
preparing and equipping the student to know God, which includes
many areas of interests. We are also available to come to
churches for special programs. We want the local body involved.
Q: What
is a Raffa Celebration?
LR: Raffa Celebrations are for the general public. It provides
an atmosphere where people can get together have fun, fellowship,
and enjoy the presence of God. It is not a setting intended
to recruit people for different churches. Once the people
leave the meeting, they are encouraged to attending whatever
church they attend. The celebrations also give people an
idea of what RAFFA is about.
